Learning Programs for Toddlers

The New Generation has a great program to help your child develop in a fun, loving learning environment. Through the use of circle time, music, movement, and open-ended art, we'll help your child develop strong self-help skills that the child will use later in his / her life.

Before your child starts a program with The New Generation, we suggest that you bring the kid in to visit the center, and that you do your best to explain why he / she is coming to the center. Make sure that all of your paperwork is filled out ahead of time and that you've made note of anything you feel our staff should know about your child before the toddler's first day.

On your child's first day, be sure to leave a little extra time in your schedule to get him / her settled. Make sure you've included your child in the preparation. If the kid is old enough, let the little one help pack his / her lunch and bag. 

Sometimes it helps if you send your child to the center with something special from home. This could be a blanket, toy, or a small photo of a loved one that the kid can keep with him / her while here. Be sure to label everything you send.

10:00 am - 10: 30 am: Free play / project
10:30 am - 11:00 am: Music 6 movement
11:00 am - 11:15 am: Story time
11:15 am - 11:30 am: Wash hands for lunch
11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch
12:30 pm - 1:00 pm: Diaper / potty
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Nap / quiet time
3:00 pm - 3:30 pm: Diaper / potty
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Snack
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Free play / music / activity
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Cleanup
5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Table time

  • A blanket, sheet, and (if you would like) a pillow - sleep items must be in a sealable bag, such as a duffel bag, backpack or large ziplock bag
